Standard Chartered Cuts XRP Forecast by 65% Following Market Crash

British bank Standard Chartered has lowered its forecast for the price of the XRP token issued by Ripple for the end of 2026 from $8 to $2.8. The financial institution’s analysts also expect continued pressure on the cryptocurrency market in the near term.

Geoffrey Kendrick, Head of Digital Assets Research at the bank, noted that recent market performance has been challenging. According to him, the bank anticipates further short-term price declines and is revising its outlook across the entire digital asset sector.

Over the past month, XRP has fallen to its lowest level in 15 months and is currently trading დაახლოებით 30% below its level of a month ago.

In addition, Standard Chartered has adjusted its forecasts for other crypto assets: its end-2026 target for Bitcoin (BTC) has been cut from $150,000 to $100,000, for Ether (ETH) from $7,000 to $4,000, and for Solana (SOL) from $250 to $135.

According to the bank’s estimates, XRP and ETH may, over time, show dynamics similar to the development of stablecoins and the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA).
