The bitcoin exchange rate has surpassed the $70,000 mark, gaining a foothold amid an increase of about 17% from the local low of last week. At the end of the week, bitcoin closed at about $70.3 thousand. Ethereum is trading closer to $2.07 thousand. The total capitalization of the crypto market is estimated at $2.4 trillion.
Over the past day, the leading cryptocurrencies have mostly lost in price, but BTC and ETH remain in the growth zone compared to last week. The index of fear and greed in the market remains in the zone of “extreme fear” (14 out of 100), which pushes investors to be cautious. ETFs for bitcoin have recorded an influx of funds, and industry risks persist against the background of volatility and macroeconomic factors.
